How to layer clipping mask in Photoshop cc


About clipping mask :

Using clipping masks is a very simple way to produce some really creative effects for your photos A clipping mask is an object or a group of objects whose shape masks other artwork so that only areas that lie within the clipping mask are visible. In effect, you are clipping the artwork to conform to the shape of the object.

Create a clipping mask

 Hold down Alt (Option in Mac OS), position the pointer over the line dividing two layers in the Layers panel and then click.

OR

 Layer selected and right click Choose the Create Clipping Mask, The shortcut to create a clipping mask is Control + Alt + G or Command (Windows) + Option + G (macOS)



Delete layer from a clipping mask

 Hold down Alt (Option in Mac OS), position the pointer over the line dividing two layers in the Layers panel and then click.

 Layer selected and right click choose the Release Clipping Mask, The shortcut to Release a clipping mask is Control + Alt + G or Command (Windows) + Option + G (macOS)
